About Ufanzo
A technology practice that starts with the business problem.
Ufanzo exists because most businesses do not need more technology — they need the right technology aimed at the problem that is genuinely costing them, and a straight answer about what solving it will take.
The practice
Eight areas, deliberately connected.
Ufanzo works across eight areas of business technology: AI automation, data management, data analytics, cloud solutions, FinOps, software development, technology consulting and SEO web development.
That range is a deliberate choice rather than a list of everything on offer. These problems are entangled in practice. An automation effort fails on duplicated records. A dashboard loses credibility because two departments define a metric differently. A cloud bill climbs because of an architecture decision made two years earlier. A specialist in any one of those areas will correctly solve the piece in front of them and leave the cause in place.
Work is delivered by the same person who assessed it, so recommendations come from someone who will have to make them work. That tends to keep proposals proportionate — and it means the honest answer is sometimes an off-the-shelf product, or leaving a system alone for now.
Background
The qualifications behind the work.
Ufanzo was founded by Christopher Mahan. The practice combines formal software engineering education with professional certification in data management and cloud financial management.
Software Engineering
Computer-science grounding: algorithms, systems design, and code written to be maintained rather than demonstrated.
Information Systems
Technology understood in the context of business process, not just as a stack of tools.
DAMA Certified
Formal data management practice covering governance, quality, modelling and stewardship.
FinOps Certified
Cloud financial management: allocation, unit economics, commitment strategy and realized savings.
Cloud Platforms
Architecture, migration and operations across AWS, Azure and Google Cloud — including environments that span more than one.
Applied AI
AI aimed at automating real workflows, with human review where judgement belongs.
How we work
Assumptions written down.
An engagement starts with evidence rather than opinion: reading the code and configuration, looking at the actual cost and usage data, and talking to the people who run the process daily. What a system is meant to do and what it does are frequently different, and the gap is usually where the risk lives.
Findings come with their reasoning and their uncertainty attached. A recommendation that omits what it assumed cannot be re-evaluated when circumstances change — and they always change. Where the evidence does not support a confident answer, that is said plainly.
What we don't claim
No numbers we can't stand behind.
- No guaranteed search rankings — Google allocates results, not agencies.
- No promised cloud savings percentage before seeing your environment.
- No claim that AI will replace your staff or handle judgement and exceptions.
- No client logos, testimonials or project counts on a site this new.
