Business Technology Partner

Business technology solutions that drive growth.

Ufanzo helps businesses automate the workflows that waste time, organise data they can finally trust, bring cloud spending under control, build the software they actually need, and run websites that generate real enquiries.

Every engagement starts with the business problem — what it costs you now, what changing it is worth, and whether technology is genuinely the right answer.

Why Ufanzo

Technology expertise grounded in business.

Software engineering, formal data management practice, cloud architecture and cloud financial management in one place — which is why an automation project here accounts for the data underneath it and the cost of running it.

More about the practice
  • Computer Science

Software engineering fundamentals: algorithms, systems design, and maintainable code.

  • Information Systems

Technology understood in the context of business process and organisational need.

  • DAMA Certified

Formal data management practice covering governance, quality, and stewardship.

  • FinOps Certified

Cloud financial management: cost visibility, allocation, and unit economics.

  • AWS Cloud

Cloud architecture, migration, and operations on Amazon Web Services.

  • AI & Emerging Technology

Applied AI focused on automating real workflows rather than demonstrations.

What we do

Technology that solves a specific business problem.

Ufanzo works across eight areas. Each one exists because businesses keep running into the same expensive problem, and each can be engaged on its own or combined into a broader technology programme.

Business impact

Start from the outcome, not the technology.

Nobody wants a data warehouse. They want reporting that reconciles. Nobody wants an automation platform. They want their team to stop retyping invoices. The technology is a means — these five outcomes are what businesses are actually buying.

Growth. Efficiency. Better decisions.

Ufanzo connects automation, data, cloud, software and search into one practical technology strategy — or works on whichever piece is costing you most right now.

Why Ufanzo

Technical depth, applied to the actual problem.

Businesses rarely need more technology. They need the right technology aimed at the problem that is genuinely costing them — and an honest account of what it will take.

How we work

Start with the cost of the problem.

Before anything gets built, the question is what the current situation costs — in hours, in errors, in missed opportunities, in cloud spend. That number is what any proposal has to justify itself against, and sometimes it shows the problem is not worth solving yet.

Talk through a problem
  • Built by the person who assessed it

The assessment and the implementation are not handed between teams. Recommendations come from someone who will have to make them work, which tends to keep them realistic.

  • Problems are connected, so solutions are too

Automation fails on bad data. Analytics fails on bad definitions. Cloud costs balloon on architecture decisions. Covering these areas together means the dependency between them is accounted for rather than discovered late.

  • Trade-offs stated, not buried

Every option has a cost, a risk and a maintenance burden. You get those written down — including when the honest recommendation is an off-the-shelf product, or doing nothing for now.

  • Proportionate engineering

A system serving a hundred requests an hour does not need the architecture of one serving a hundred thousand. Designs are sized to actual requirements, with a clear path to the next order of magnitude.

Our process

A clear path from problem to working solution.

Technology projects fail on scope and sequencing far more often than on implementation. This process is built to surface bad assumptions early, while changing course is still cheap.

  1. Understand

Look at the process, the systems and the numbers as they actually are — not as the documentation describes them. This is where the real constraint usually turns up.

  2. Scope and sequence

Identify the options, what each costs to build and to run, and what could go wrong. Then sequence the work so the first stage is small, valuable on its own, and reversible.

  3. Build and verify

Implement in reviewable increments with tests on the logic that would be expensive to get wrong, and a tested way back if a stage does not work out.

  4. Measure and adjust

Compare the result against what was predicted. Where the two diverge, work out why — that gap is what makes the next estimate credible.

FAQ

Questions businesses ask before getting started.

Straight answers, including to the questions where the honest answer is that it depends.

What does Ufanzo actually do?

Ufanzo works across eight areas of business technology: AI automation, data management, data analytics, cloud solutions, FinOps and cloud cost optimization, software development, technology consulting, and SEO web development. In practice that means automating repetitive workflows, making business data reliable, building reporting that informs decisions, designing and migrating cloud infrastructure, bringing cloud spend under control, building custom software, and building websites that earn search visibility.

What size of business does Ufanzo work with?

Small and mid-sized businesses, typically ones with real technology problems but no dedicated internal team to solve them — or an internal team already at capacity. The work suits organisations where a specific process, system or cost has become a genuine constraint on the business.

Do you work with businesses outside South Dakota?

Yes. Ufanzo is registered in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and works with businesses across the United States. Almost all of this work — assessments, automation, data, cloud, software and web development — is delivered remotely, so location rarely affects what is practical.

Can you work with the systems we already have?

That is usually the starting assumption. Replacing a working system is expensive and risky, so the first question is always whether the existing one can be extended, integrated or corrected. A rewrite gets recommended when the current system is genuinely the constraint, not because it is unfamiliar.

How do engagements usually start?

With an assessment scoped to a specific problem. That produces a written picture of the current state, the realistic options, what each would cost to build and to run, and a recommendation with its reasoning and its uncertainty stated. From there you can proceed, take the assessment elsewhere, or decide the problem is not worth solving yet.

Can you guarantee a first-page Google ranking?

No, and neither can anyone else — search results are allocated by Google, not by an agency. What is within our control is the engineering that makes ranking possible: page speed, crawlable architecture, semantic markup, accurate structured data, correct canonical and robots configuration, and content that matches what people are actually searching for.

Will AI automation replace our staff?

That is not what this work is for. Automation is effective on repetitive, high-volume, rule-shaped tasks and on reading unstructured documents at scale. It is poor at judgement, exceptions and accountability. Automations here are built with explicit human review points and audit trails, so decisions can be inspected and corrected.

How much can we save on cloud costs?

There is no honest answer to that before looking at your environment, and any specific percentage quoted up front is a sales figure rather than an estimate. What an assessment does produce is a prioritised list of concrete optimization actions, each with an estimated saving and an implementation effort — then tracks the difference between that estimate and what actually appears on the next invoice.
